Refund from Samsung Galaxy Store Is Being Denied

I have been corresponding between Samsung and Adobe since 04/18/2021. The latest email from Samsung stated: "Kindly note that a refund is only in order if you encountered an error while downloading the application and you were charged for it but you did not get it on the device, in case that an application that you purchased is not working or in other store related issues. In this case, since you can successfully use the content on the device, I would kindly inform you that unfortunately a refund is not in order."

 

But I have to say I am really disappointed with the adobe's premium subscription. Unfortunately the premium subscription did not allow me to accomplish what I was hoping it would, when converting the .pdf into a .docx, Adobe's software turned half of my document into symbols. I tried to do what I could to remedy the issue but unfortunately it continued to do the same thing every time. That is why the premium subscription was effectively rendered useless and I decided to not move forward with the premium subscription.
Which leads me to my second issue, which is that it was very unclear to me how to cancel the free trial before it ended. I tried canceling from within the Adobe app twice but could not figure out how to cancel. I also tried going to Googleplay to cancel and could not find any type of subscription on any email. I assumed it was not showing in my account until I received a bill for it. I, unfortunately, did not realize I had downloaded the application from the galaxy store. Therefore, also having put the free trial, and now the premium subscription, in the galaxy store aswell. I believe this is unethical to not allow a grace period for refunds. I contacted Samsung on the very SAME DAY I was charged after I realized it was the galaxy store that had charged me and not Googleplay. I was then made to correspond back and forth between Samsung and Adobe and eventhough I tried to cancel the same day, I am being refused a refund. Samsung has provided me with an email that has directed me to this forum. So I am hoping to see if anyone on this forum has any insight or can remedy this situation by finally providing me with a refund. 

I would also like to add that I canceled the subscription on Samsung once I learned it was placed through the Galaxy store. But unfortunately since I've already paid for the year, my current subscription doesn't end until 04/18/2022. I would like to cancel the current term so that I may receive a full refund.

Same here. 

 

Literally, the return policy says that a customer can get a refund if he or she cancel the monthly/annual subscription.

Samsung customer service on the Galaxy is really aweful.

I just saw a 70 dollar charge on my credit card from galaxy store as they charged my credit card but it was for a free trial for Adobe scan  that I had no idea about and they are saying I have to contact Adobe scan and I did that and Adobe is saying I have to get it from galaxy store which is so upsetting they can do that. I contacting my credit card and disputed it so we shall see... this is why everyone should too and only use Google play store

I'm going through same nightmare now.  I tried to cancel Adobe had no idea itv went through via galaxy store. I WASTED TIME listening to Adobe representative to tell me to go through Google and cancel. It was quite difficult to navigate canceling subscriptions.  I finally found it on Galaxy App store. I was told to cancel via Samsung.com when Goohle play didn't work.  It was difficult.  Now, because of a few hours i missed the trial period. .I just now was able to cancel. Now I'm hoping I will be refunded my 70 dollars I don't want Adobe until March 14, 2024 .

We're you refunded?

I'm too M going through the dame nightmare. I was literally in the phone with Samsung while in the ER, trying to cancel b4 the trial ended. Each time I tried to cancel the system gave me an error dating, try again later. Well at 6:04 my bank account was charged the annual subscription amount. I was chatting with customer service for 3 hours to no avail getting any real assistance

 Yesterday I was tossed back and forth between companies. Disconnected and transferred and could finally get to the options I needed in order to cancel. No system hlinch or error now that they've charged me. I received 2 emails this morning, 1 from each company, again referring me to the other for a refund. I too don't want the service for another year. It didn't do what I thought it was going to do. I'm so frustrated. If any one knows how to rectify this please advise. Valuable lesson not to order any apps from Galaxy store. HELP.

This is insane and samsung is operating with complete impunity. I've done the whole rodeo contacting Adobe having them tell me to contact Samsung and then Samsung telling me their hands are tied...I was only privy to this charge 3 days after the purchase and the sad this is I didn't even use this app I have absolutely no viable explenation of how this could of occurred but I must of thought I was signing up for something other then Adobe PDF because I simply have no use for it.

 

Together let's do something about this for anybody with this same issue please contact me at [PII removed by moderator] and let's get to the bottom of this. I can just imagine all the money Samsung is outright stealing from people most likely people who are no financially stable...
