Why is it that when I search on safari some stuff goes to adobe even though I didn't download anything

From the description, it looks like you have a tab open in the background, which redirects you to Acrobat.
I suggest checking for any open tab that links you to a PDF, thus opening Acrobat.
Let me know if this is not the case and we can troubleshoot further.
