Reading the description, it looks like the reading mode of your application has been changed.
Would you mind clicking the three dots to the top right of the application-> clicking on view settings-> changing it to continuous reading?
This should allow you to scroll through the document without issues.
If this is not the case, please share a screen recording of the event you refer to for better understanding and assistance.

There isn't a mode with the name " Continuous Reading"! There is just "Continuous". And it hasn't solved the issue.
