Since the last update my documents are gone

Wie kann ich meine Dokumente wieder herstellen? Seit dem letzten Update wurde die Einrichtung eines Acounts verlangt. Das habe ich gemacht. Nun ist keines der lokal gespeicherten Dokumente mehr zu finden. Was tun?

Hi Ingrids,

Sorry for the delay in response.

As you have mentioned above, you have lost all your documents that were saved locally.

In the new Acrobat UI, refer to the steps mentioned below to open the local files.

- Launch the application and go to the Files option provided at the bottom of the window.

- Now, tap on "Location" from the top left corner of the window.

- Select the location from where you wish to open the document.

Check if you can find the documents listed there.

Please let us know

(a) If you cannot find local files in the new Acrobat UI (Files > Locations > On This iPad/iPhone).

Or

(b) lost local files because you have uninstalled Acrobat?

For situation (b) local files are gone permanently. It may be possible to restore from iCloud or iTunes backup. You may see

Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup - Apple Support

Please also let us know the current version of the application installed on your device.
