Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out and sorry to hear you're running into this issue on your Pixel 7 Pro.

If PDFs downloaded on your device are showing as corrupted or won’t open in Acrobat, here are a few quick steps you can try:

1. Restart the phone
A simple reboot can refresh the file system and cached data causing the error.

2. Redownload the PDF
Sometimes the file doesn’t finish downloading completely, especially on unstable networks.

3. Check storage permissions
Go to Settings > Apps > Acrobat > Permissions and make sure Storage/Files & media access is allowed.

4. Clear Acrobat app cache

Go to Settings → Apps → Acrobat → Storage & cache

Tap Clear cache (avoid Clear data unless necessary)

5. Update Acrobat & Android System
Make sure both are fully updated from the Play Store.

6. Test a different PDF
This helps determine whether the issue is with specific documents or the device/app.

If the issue continues, please let us know:

  • Where the PDFs are downloaded from (browser, email, app)
  • Acrobat version & Android version installed
  • Whether any security/antivirus app is blocking downloads
