I hope you're doing great, and sorry for the issue you're experiencing.
While opening PDF file, is there any error that appears on the screen or it simply doesn't bring any content on the screen while clicking on it?
Also, Is the file encrypted or password protected? If yes, then you need the password to open the pdf or you can also try to make changes in the preferences:
Navigate to Adobe Acrobat Reader Desktop>Edit>Preferences>Security (Enhanced)>disable "Protected Mode at Startup" and "Enhanced Security">OK>Reboot Reader
Also, could you please help us with a few details to understand your issue better?
1. Application name and version.
2. OS version of the device.
3. Is the issue file-specific, or you're experiencing this with every file?
4. A screenshot of the error or video of your workflow.
