I purchased the $69.99 yearly subscription to Adobe Acrobat Reader: Edit PDF app for my iPad. I use this for work and save a file from a website and need to be able to edit it, save as, and also sign with my Apple Pencil as needed.
When I download it and import to adobe it makes it a read only copy and it won't let me sign it. When I download it and "save to files" on my iPad and then go to edit it, it has the original document and anything I've typed on my iPad as a photo almost and when I edit more it types over the words already there.
I also cannot edit the same file on my iPad and then open it on my MacBook or else it types over words already there again.
Please help.

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for your experience with Acrobat Reader Mobile.
Would you mind sharing a few pieces of information for further investigation:
1. The file on which you experience the issue with;
2. A screen recording of the workflow you are following, which also shows the errors or the overlap of the text;
3. The application version of Acrobat Reader Mobile you use;
4. The iPadOS version your device is running.
Also, is it only with files downloaded from a particular website or with all the files? Can you check with any local files on your device if the result is the same?
Look forward to hearing from you.

Hi, so sorry for the late reply. Life has been busy.
Unfortunately I cannot share my workflow. I have private patient information on my files and cannot video them or share them. They are simple fill in PDF forms (3 pages total) with fields that have header and a few fields that repeat on a few pages. I simply need to fill in the info, be able to sign it, and access it on my phone, iPad, and MacBook Pro.
my adobe is version 23.05.01
my iPad is a 9th generation running OS 16.3.
