How can I remove the AI assistant on android acrobat please? My screen is small and it gets in way often so I can't easily read whole page.

@matthewm96437299 When you click the AI Assistant button on the viewing screen, you should be given a choice.
The button will be there even if you did not opt for the services. However, to disable it from the preferences, you need to opt-in to enable the settings in the preferences.

Hi Abambo, please give the link for where you moved this. I searched for "Turn off AI assistant" and can only find this post?

Hi @Rupert337081764zip @Julie37327400ih82,
Hope you are doing well. Thanks for writing in!
The Generative AI features in Acrobat Mobile can be disabled by going to Home-> Profile-> Preferences.
More info here: Generative AI features in Acrobat mobile (https://adobe.ly/3yMvZOo)
You can disable the Gen AI Assistant features from the preferences, but the button will still appear. This is something that the team is investigating.
Hope this helps.

@matthewm96437299 Do you use an IT-managed account for Acrobat?
It looks like the option has been disabled on the back end.

It's not IT-managed. Downloaded from the Google Play store on my personal device. And it looks like it has been disabled on the front end too - I don't see the option, do you?

I'm having the same problem and I do not have the option to disable this "feature"

Hi guys!
Just a question. Do you see the AI Assistant button when reading a PDF? If yes, can you click on it to see if you get any pop-up to opt-in for the services?
We tried different ways but were not able to reproduce the issue.
The preferences should be visible automatically if you opt for Gen AI services.

Same issue on my Samsung Zfold: switching offnin settings, but ai buttons still hanging on top of my documents and hiding content. even if I am using ai, and I might, the button never should be there. who signed off on that design?

This is too annoying, will switch now to MS365 as default pdf viewer. Not a good idea Adobe to force readers to acknowledge your AI feature. There is also a free PDF AI available online, no point to subscribe just for this. Users end up spending a fortune nowadays as every company wants them to subscribe on a monthly base to their AI features.

So glad to hear that Microsoft 65 has an option for reading PDF files. I'm going to switch to that too. Who needs Adobe Acrobat?

No way to disable on either samsung flip 5 or samsung tab s8. Need to use a different app as the button takes up way to much screenspace and obscures text.

Really not good enough. I do not want your bandwagon-hopping and profoundly useless gen AI, and I don't want you training the pointless thing on my data. Get rid of it, or there will be trouble. If you feel compelled by fomo or share price to offer something you can label "AI", make it opt-in.

Can't believe they implemented something in the first place. What kind of engineering team do you have?

If I opt in so that I can remove the button, don't I wind up paying you for something I don't want? When I opt in, it asks me for additional money. So I have to pay you to get this button removed that blocks my view of the text? Sounds like a hostage situation or a virus hijack.

Just got an email from Adobe support team saying they've been trying to reach me to solve the issue. The email asked me to call them back. When I called them back, they told me over the phone that there is no solution for mobile apps. Nice of them to ask me to call so that they could tell me they couldn't help me. at this point, you are better off switching to another PDF reader. There are some good ones out there that don't treat the mobile app as unwanted stepchildren. I would recommend some to you, but I don't want to appear to be shilling for another company. I really would prefer to stick with Adobe, but the program is no longer viable for mobile users.

Are you serious? I have to opt in just to turn it off? WTF did Adobe think it was okay to add this without asking me.
