What happened to the round blue S-Pen icon in Acrobat Reader for Android?

Was there an update overnight?  Suddenly on all of my devices the blue circle S-Pen (or pencil) icon on the bottom right has disappeared?  And now, I have a toolbar at the bottom of each page.  Looks like clicking on Draw does roughly the same thing - and now it adds to the Comments list as a Drawing comment.

So, is the other way of doing things gone or have I toggled some unknown option?
