When selecting a word, last letter isn’t selected

I read a lot of pdf’s in English, which isn’t my native language. When I come across words which I don’t understand, I select them and use the define function which works very well.

The only issue is that with 95% of the words I select (by simply having a long press on that particular word), the last letter of that word isn’t selected. Hence I have to manually adjust the selection with the slider which is quite cumbersome.

I can’t figure out why 5% of those words don’t have this issue (plural, infinitive,...). Is this a bug or a feature?

As per the issue description mentioned above, you are facing issue when selecting a word in a pdf using acrobat reader app, is that correct?

Could you let us know the ios device you are using?

What is the dot version of ot version of acrobat and ios version installed on the device? You may refer to the steps given in the following help document for the same: Troubleshooting — Acrobat Reader Mobile App
