Why has my LG6 started asking me if i want to edit photos with Acrobat

Since a few days ago, my LG6 has started asking me if I want to edit photos in Gallery with Photos or Acrobat, without giving me the choice of Just once or Always. I naturally want to edit my photos with Photos and NOT Acrobat.

I've ditched the phone settings and the app settings and have not found any way of fixing this. I don't want to have to keep choosing which app to use to edit my photos.

Could you confirm a few more details to understand the issue better?

1. Did try opening a PDF is it also not giving the choice of Just once or Always?

2. Application version?

1. Opening Acrobat is no problem if I want look at a file.

2. Acrobat v. 21.11.1.20710

Android v. 9
