Adobe PDF on IPAD keeps creating a recovered version

I use Adobe PDF reader on my iPad to mark up PDFs. The PDFs are stored on my Google Drive. I generally stay connected via WiFi throughout. However Adobe frequently created a "recovered" version of my files even though they have saved onto Google drive. Is there anything I can do to stop this happening?
