I have a secure pdf file that has 2 attachments. When I open this file on my desktop's acrobat reader, I am able to view both attachments.
(In the desktop Reader, there is an Attachments Panel that lists both attachments)
However, when I open this file on my iOS acrobat reader, the application does not find either attachment
(In the IOS Reader, I click on the ... in the upper right hand corner and choose attachments. The application displays a window with the title "Attachments" that says "No files in this location")
Is this a known issue or limitation with Adobe Reader on this IOS?
Thanks,
Jason G

Remove the security of the file and try again.

I don't feel like this is the right direction (the document is meant to be encrypted) but I am willing to give it a try..
How do I remove security in Adobe Reader for iOS?

Not possible. You need Adobe Acrobat for this.

Thanks for the idea but this direction won't really help the recipient of these files. Back to my original question:
Why can Adobe Reader on Windows see the attachments but Adobe Reader on iOS cannot?
(Update: I'm told by a colleague that Adobe Reader on Android can see the attachments as well)

The reason for this can be the security of the PDF file.

Generically, I don't see any reason why a secure PDF cannot have attachments.
More specifically, this file works with security in Adobe Reader - Windows and Adobe Reader - Android so I don't think this is the case.

I can't help you with this issue.

Who can help with this. This clearly is a bug in the adobe iOS application given the Android (same UI) does work - its not a security issue at all.
Can you not please raise issue with support to resolve this. It was working in previous readers.

Same problem here. I need to access attachments to my encrypted PDFs on a regular basis for work on mobile devices. Not acceptable or possible to have to use my Mac every time.
Any progress on a solution - or even a timescale?

I still can’t see or access any attachments on my iPhone or iPad.
I noticed in the thread that a solution was being worked on as I am clearly not the only person experiencing this.
Thanks
