Sometimes when i try to open a pdf on my iPhone, I get this message instead "For the best experience, open this PDF portfolio in Acrobat X or Adobe Reader X, or later." and a button that says "Get Adobe Reader now!"
The button opens iTunes, where I can click open to the app. But I can never open the pdf.
why is this?
Please help it is really frustrating.

Why? What's the work around or plan to get mobile viewing of PDF Portfolios?

E.g. you can use a mobile device with Windows 11.

No no...the mobile device is an Apple provided by my company. The solution of a mobile device with Windows 11 is not an option.
Sounds like there are no plans to have Adobe function correctly on mobile devices....?

You can try using the web portal: https://acrobat.adobe.com/link/home/ and opening the portfolio file there.
Hope this helps.

It doesn't. The app needs to be able to open PDF portfolios. Our company is looking into switching to Bluebeam because of restrictions like this in Adobe.

I have shared the feedback to the product team for their consideration.
I would highly suggest filling out the feature request form, too: https://acrobat.uservoice.com/, so it reaches directly to the product team for their reviews and implementation in future updates.

I have tried submitting this request, but the uservoice forum requires a separate account from my Adobe; these should be linked.

I understand your concern, but since UserVoice is a different platform, thus it needs a separate account.

The team and I tried reproducing the issue, and we could open the files without problems.
(a) If you open a PDF portfolio in Apple's Files app or Safari, the 'cover page' of the PDF Portfolio is shown.
See the attached screenshot: Portfolio opened in Apple Files app.png
Note that the same message mentioned above is shown.
(b) If you open a PDF portfolio in the Adobe Acrobat iOS app, the Portfolio's contents (child documents) will be shown.
See the attached screenshot: Portfolio opened in Acrobat iOS app.png
Hope this helps.

Hello Team,
The issue is not in iOS on a computer; it is with the app on the mobile device (as described in the opening issue). Try opening the PDF portfolio on an iOS Mobile device.

Sorry, just saw your attached video. When I follow those steps Adobe states "The document cannot be opened because it might be corrupted or damaged." However, I can open the same file okay on my desktop.
Any other troubleshooting tips?
