Could you please confirm if you are still experiencing the issue?
Please make sure that the application is updated to the latest version available.
Also, check if there are no restrictions added to the PDF.
When you add highlights to the PDF, make sure that changes are saved.
Do not close the application without saving the changes.
Did you check if it is a case with a particular PDF?
Are you able to highlight text in other PDFs without any issues?
It can be file specific issue.
Share the application and OS version on the device.
If possible, please share the file with which you experience the issue.
