iPad App Malfunctioning

I'm trying to use Adobe Acrobad Reader on the iPad to annotate PDFs. I am becoming increasingly frustrated with this app. At times, my PDF comments wouldn't save (I am clicking "Done" and going back to the home screen to still have issues with saving). I've been trying to comment on this one PDF document for an hour now. It either doesn't save my comments, crashes, or it saves my highlighting/comments but removes the original text from the document so it's just a white screen with yellow highlighter and writing everywhere. I tried deleting and reinstalling the app (and deleted all my PDFs in it) to no avail. Has anyone else had problems with this? I'm at my wits' end.
