Issue with Acrobat Reader after update

New Here ,
Dec 12, 2016 Dec 12, 2016

I use a Samsung Galaxy Note Tab 10.1 for my studies at the University of Basel and use the Adobe Acrobat Reader to highlight and add notes to pdf's I receive from my professors for my classes and lectures. I also use the SPen that comes with my Galaxy Note Tab 10.1 to make handwritten edits into pdf's. This all worked fine until the latest update came for the app. Now I can add a handwritten note, but as soon as I click on it to move it or adjust the textbox, it only moves to the right side of the pdf and the text box gets ever thinner.

Is this due to the age of the tablet and it just can't handle the update, or is this something a new update could fix?

Hi andreaf38148510,

Could you please confirm the version of Acrobat Reader installed on your phone.

For that,  launch Reader>tap 3 vertical dots in the top right corner of the screen>Help.

Tap three vertical dots again and select About Adobe Acrobat

Hi,

It says:

Version 16.4

Build 160486

Btw, it is not on a phone, but on a three year old tablet, if that makes a difference...

The tablet is running Android version 4.1.2

Hi andreaf38148510,

Try to clear cache, restart the tablet and see if that changes anything.

Tap Settings on your tablet's home screen >Tap Apps>Adobe Acrobat>Clear cache.

Hi,

It seems to have fixed itself... but I cleared the cache anyway... hope it stays fixed...

Thanks for your help.
