Hi petera72014843,

The "stuck update" problem seems to happen to any iOS app (not just Acrobat Reader) when an iOS update is pending.

The latest iOS version is 11.2.2.  You can go to Settings > General > Software Update to check if you have a red dot indicating the new update for iOS 11.2.2.

Please take a look at the following FAQ document for troubleshooting.

How to fix iPad/iPhone apps getting stuck while installing updates from the App Store

Hope this helps.

Hi, MobileDeveloperCK. In my experience

"The "stuck update" problem seems to happen to any iOS app (not just Acrobat Reader) when an iOS update is pending."

In my experience, this is not the case.

"The latest iOS version is 11.2.2.  You can go to Settings > General > Software Update to check if you have a red dot indicating the new update for iOS 11.2.2."

I am on iOS 11.3 Acrobat Reader Version 18.01.31 is 1w old and will not update. 22 other apps downloaded today

Hi petera72014843,

Users have different experiences.  There is no single solution that works for all of the iOS app update problems.

If you search using words like "iOS app update stuck", you will find a ton of hits on Google.  The problems are not specific to Adobe Acrobat Reader.  However, we hear about the problems from more users via app store reviews and our online bug reports whenever iOS has large updates that coincide with Acrobat Reader releases.

We have the FAQ document (which I mentioned in my previous forum reply).

How to fix iPad/iPhone apps getting stuck while installing updates from the App Store

Now, Apple Support offers this page because the problems are fairly common.

If you can’t download or update apps, or if apps get stuck - Apple Support

You just need to try the suggested steps until you find the one that woks for you.

Thank you.
