I used to have the option of saving documents to either my Adobe local file or to the Adobe Doc Cloud.    Now I can only save to the Doc Cloud which means I cannot attach pdfs to emails any longer.

i need to have the choice of saving pdfs to either my local file or my Doc Cloud.    Who thought it was a good idea to change it and can I have it back the way it was?

Hello Mr. Adams,

Thanks for using Adobe Acrobat DC. Really sorry about the problem you are facing. We will investigate it on priority. Can you please help us with following information so that we can proceed with the investigations:

1)    Can you please provide the version of Acrobat. (Click on ‘Help’ in menu bar > click on ‘About Adobe Acrobat DC…’ > take a snapshot of popped window).

2) Can you please share the Exact steps of the issue you are facing? If possible can you please share a video.

I believe after opening a pdf file you are facing some problem when trying to save the file locally.

Thanks

Hello and thank you for your reply.

I’m using Adobe on my iPad, and the Adobe version appears to be this:

18.09.13 (20180917.165138)

( I don’t appear to have a menu bar showing ‘Help’ nor “About Adobe Acrobat”, I’m sorry.

In previous versions of my Adobe for IPad, I could elect to save any pdf to my local or cloud documents...now, I cannot make that choice.  I can save documents only to the cloud.

Please advise how or what steps I must take to have the option of where to save documents.

Thank you

Kay

Hello,

Can you please share more about what you are trying to accomplish, including the exact steps you used to use and the steps you are trying now? We have not changed the ability to save to Local. In fact, whenever you do an "Copy to Acrobat" from another application like email, that stores the file in "Local". Subsequently, such files show up in the Files app as well as in the "On My Phone" sections of the locations switcher when adding email attachments. We've never had a way to copy a file from Document Cloud to Local. This has been a fairly common request that we've considered in the past, but we've always felt it creates confusion by adding yet another copy of the file available through the files app.
