Unable to download pdf files _ Android phone

Am suddenly unable to download any pdf files from any url link on my Xperia xa2 android version 8.0.0 despite me having adobe reader installed (version 19.3.0.9016) and despite having uninstalled and reinstalled and restarted android device

all I get is error message,,,

Hi Chrisc,

Adobe Acrobat Reader helps you to view the PDF, not to download it.

As you are not able to download any PDF, did you check if you can download the PDF received as an email attachment?

Did you check if you can download PDF from Document Cloud online account? If not refer to the steps provided below:

- Open this link in the browser on your mobile device.

- Then sign in with your Adobe ID

- Go to Files and select any files from the list.

- Download it.

Check if you still get the error message.

Could you please let us know how exactly you are trying to download the PDFs when you get an error message?

It would be helpful if you can share any URL from which you are trying t download the PDF.

  • I have the same problem using Firefox and Adobe Reader. And the solution Meenakshi has given here and on another thread is no help. I cannot download PDFs without Adobe opening and telling me the file cannot be downloaded, and I don't want to use the document cloud.
