I used to be able to click the share button, then select share flattened copy. With the new update, I am no longer able to do this. Every copy I share is still editable.

Thank you for reporting the issue.
Could you please confirm if you are on an Android device or on iOS?
Please share the OS version installed on the device.

Hi Meenakshi,
I am experiencing the same. There's no option to send flattened copies.
I am using an an iPad with iOS 11.4.1 version.
Also, I can't even edit a file name.
Hope you can solve this issue soon.
Thank you.

Dear Meenakshi,
I am having the same problem and it is very, very annoying. I use flattened copies so that I am able to send the form to notability where it is easier for my clients to sign their credit card authorization forms. As you can imagine, it is very important to have these credit card authorization forms properly signed in order for my practice to bring in revenue. This is a serious issue. Please resolve it immediately.
At this point I’m probably going to have to create a workaround by converting my Adobe files to Microsoft word files so that my clients can properly sign their documents. Completely unacceptable.
I am using an iPad with iOS 12.0
I am using Adobe reader 18.09.14
Respectfully,
Chris Hemmel

We have the same issue on iOS 12.
We are currently testing the following workaround:
Press the Share icon
From the pop-up select Share a Copy then Create PDF.
Press the Share icon then select the required app to receive the flattened copy.
This will use inbuilt iOS functionality to create a new PDF from the existing one.

Ad oggi non si riesce a condividere una copia a livello singolo, spero vivamente che si trovi una soluzione il prima possibile

Hi!
Still same issue even with the version 18.09.14 update.
Please include in the fix the "share flattened copy" option.
Thank you!

Hi all,
The "Share Flatten Copy" option is no longer available via Share in Acrobat 18.09.13 or later.
However, there is a way to generate a flattened copy in Acrobat. Please take a look at this forum document.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

That was a really useful feature and part of the reason why we used Acrobat, not sure why it was removed.
We might stick to the 'Create PDF' option I mentioned above for the moment. It is the same amount of taps but you don't need to pinch and zoom.

Hi Alliance IT,
Yes, that's another way to do it.
However, please note that the 'Create PDF' option is not Acrobat's flattening option. Thus, your results may vary depending on the types of comments/annotations and form fields that are contained in the PDF document that you are trying to flatten.
Thank you.

Sorry further testing on 'Create PDF' does not work. We will have to follow the flatten copy guide until we come up with an alternate solution. Cheers.

this is horrible compared to the original method, so many added steps for no reason. If it is not broke , don't fix it

I’m having the similar issue. I’ve tried all of the solutions, but none of them have worked.
If the “Flatten Copy” aspect of the program is not available then Acrobat becomes useless for me.
