Best of all, at this time macOS below 10.12 is not supported by Apple itself.
macOS is an OS with an extremely short support period, so it is essential to upgrade frequently.

Ok. So are you saying that Mavericks (supported by Apple in 2013 - 2016) wasn't allowed by Adobe to run any of Acrobat DC generations?

Acrobat DC's first release was in April 2015, so OS X 10.9 might have been supported at that time.
However, since OS X 10.9 ended support of Apple in July 2016, the operation has been removed in later versions.
The initial version itself is available via the release notes, but should not be used anymore due to security support.
In any case, it is mandatory to migrate the environment where support is ended.

Of course, it's "mandatory" for corporations to make our hardware obsolete as soon as possible so that the security bogeyman wouldn't bite. As if 2016 would be as remote as 2006. But I digress.
