Acrobat Reader freezes 2-3 days after installing

Acrobat Reader is normally my default .pdf app. However for the last 2-3 months it has frozen 2-3 days or uses after I have had to re-install it. The app will not load from the shortcut on the desktop or the Start menu or directly from the app in c:\Program files (x86). It's completely dead. I am tired of downloading it yet again. I have tried the Adobe cleaner several times to ensure that all remnants have been deleted. I am running up-to-date Win 10 64 bit ver. 1909.
