Acrobat reader wont launch or open any pdf

Hello, I had the adobe dc free trial and once that ended i downloaded the reader because I only need to read docs and now neither of the programs open and nothing happens when i click a pdf. ive tried uninstalling and installing and still nothing. i tried to chat with a rep but the said they dont provide support for reader anymore.

Can you confirm the operatiing system you are using?

Also, can you confirm if you can open a pdf if you start Acrobat Reader, and from Fole>Open you select a file?

If this works, you might need to adjust the file extension association. That's the Prefences/ControlPanel element where you setup a link between the pdf extension and Acrobat reader

I am using windows 10. I can even open the program to do what your asking.

We are sorry for the trouble and the delay in response. I hope you would be able to fix it by now. If the issue still persists, please try the following steps:

• Remove the application using the Acrobat Cleaner Tool (https://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html)
• Reboot the computer 
• reinstall the application using the link (https://helpx.adobe.com/in/download-install/kb/acrobat-downloads.html)
