Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. As described, you want to change the name that appears on edits/annotations on pdf files.

 

Please try the following steps and see if that helps:

- Open the PDF with comments.

- Select the comment in the right hand pane and right click to open the context menu and select properties.

- Under 'General' tab change the Author name to your name and check 'Make properties default' Click OK.

Note: You can only change the name of the author in the comments that you have made.

 

Also, go to Edit (Windows), Adobe Acrobat (Mac) > Preferences > Commenting > Select 'Always use login name for Author name' > Click OK and reboot the application.
