I am attempting to open PDF files from a website with sample trademark documents. When I click one of the links, a window pops up stating "For the best experience, open this PDF Portfolio in Acrobat 9 or Acrobat Reader 9, or later." I spoke with an Adobe rep who pointed me to this forum since I have Acrobat X Pro. He said to ask for a key code so I can open the PDF files.

Can anyone assist with this?

Thank you in advance!

Best,

Richard

Hey Richard,

Sorry for the delay in response.

While opening a PDF from website, these messages comes when your system doesn't find PDF supported software installed.

If you already have an active Acrobat X, then PDF from web should be opened fine. Not sure what, but it seems there's some activation issue with Acrobat X.

What you can do is, launch Acrobat X separately and try to open a PDF file. Else, to simplify this you can download the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader DC (freeware) which would help you opening/viewing PDF files.

Here is a download link for that: Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Distribution

Thanks,

Akanchha
