Adobe Acrobat Reader DC has stopped working

Running Windows 8.1in a Citrix VDi environment, our Master/gold image is running the lastest Adobe DC version 2020.009.20065

We are experiencing above error in subject when opening numerous PDFs.  Same error opening direct from email, or from a local drive and network fileshare - same error occurs. 

When we roll back image to run Adobe version 2020.006.20042 we receive no errors.

We obviously need to run the latest version to avoid security vulnerabilities, so I would appreciate if you have a fix.
