Adobe Reader not working after Windows Updates

For the last few months, after every new WSUS update, almost every one of my PC's (running Windows 10 version 1909) are unable to open pdf's until the computer is rebooted one more time. It's more of an annoyance than anything. Has anyone else ran into this or found a solution? 

 

I checked to make sure that Adobe is not an orphaned process after the Update. Adobe is not open in Task Manager, but Adobe Acrobat Update Service is running. Could that be the issue?
