Every one of our users can not use Adobe Reader today.

pdf files seem to open for some, then crash within a couple of minutes. Others get an error right away. It seemed to start for everyone at the same time this morning, Jan. 30, 2019.  App version 11.0.23.22

Fault Module Name Annots.api for some users.

Others get error exception unknown software exception 0xc000409

I tried repairing and then reinstalling, but we still have the same issue.

Is there a bug in this version?

That version was released years ago. Nothing has changed. My guess is that something in your world has changed.

Windows update?

Antivirus?

Network change?

Different PDF source?

Look for changes across your enterprise, apparently unconnected.

My guess would be it has something to do with a system update. What operating system are you using?

And why are you using such an outdated version of Reader?

It seems that an Antivirus decided that it does not like XI any longer.

The reason that we were still using XI is because we tried DC, and no one liked it. And we do not like the Cloud access and other things about it.

So, we are now using DC, but trying to lock it down and disable Cloud access, etc.
