Adobe reader XI (ver 11.0.10) is taking too long to install. How to quit?

It is installing for more than 7 hrs now. I tried everything to quit the installation including force quit and quitting on the activity monitor of my mac. I even deleted the installer but it is not quitting. I also tried restarting my mac but it can't restart unless it's done plus my internet is not slow. How to resolve this?

It’s obsolete. Use Reader DC.
