Can't install, unistall, or clean Reader.....I'm so frustrated please help!!

I have tried everything I know....can't uninstall it says "the path package could not be opened.  Verify that the patch package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer patch package."    The cleaner tools will only open a black word doc..... Please help....just want to be able to view PDF files!!! Didn't think that was too much to ask.... very frustrated.....  Windows 10 operating system.  Have also tried multiple browsers.
