Can't "save as" on my new Mac

I downloaded a PDF from an email, opened it in Adobe Reader Acrobat (DC), and now when I try to save it to a particular folder, cannot because when I click on the "save as" all I get is an empty white box. I tried re-installing, but when I do the installation fails because it is already there. So I went to see how to uninstall it, and was invited to look for the CreativeCloud icon on the Apple menu bar, and it is not there.

Help, please.

Hello Anand. Actually, I couldn't wait, so I followed Apple's advice and

downloaded an older version of Acrobat Reader (from 2014 if I remember

correctly). It works just fine.

I will try your solution if I am ever moved to download the updated Reader.

Thanks,

Elizabeth

Hi Abanerji,

Thank you for reaching out.

As you have mentioned you are experiencing the same issue, do you get blank Save as window when trying to save the PDF?

If yes, please use the troubleshooting steps suggested in the following link: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/blank-save-as-dialog-mac.html

Check if that helps.

Let us know how it goes.

Regards,

Meenakshi

Hi,

I had the same issue with a newly purchased subscription to Acrobat Pro DC. After months of frustration, reinstalling and questioning if I lost my mind for not being able to execute this basic task, I found this forum and yes it worked. But the bigger question is: why shouldn't I be able to save directly to my icloud, when I'm paying a monthly fee for a fancy Acrobat subscription? I find it appaulling that after years of this problem being signaled by various users, Adobe didn't bother to fix the issue... I'll try to work this way for a while and see how annoyed I get by keep doing the extra steps, but I may just be a deal breaker for me.
