Digitally sign with military CAC

I am trying to digitally sign a PDF but can't seem to get Adobe to pick up my CAC reader. I am running Adobe Acrobat Reader DC 2020.012.20041 on Mac OS Catalina version 10.15.6. My CAC reader is SCR3310. Adobe Acrobat Reader DC is my my default application.
