My office uses Ring Central as our phone and fax system, so we send and receive faxes online using this application. When we receive incoming faxes, Acrobat pops up on our screen and we have to exit the program in order to get back to our work. Is there a way to disable this from popping up?

Go to the STARTUP tab in Windows Task Manager to disable any startup... do be careful what you disable, some things are very important... only disable AcroTray and Adobe Acrobat Speadlauncher
You get to the Task Manager by RIGHT clicking the "window pane" in the lower left corner of your screen and select Task Manager

John,
Thank you for your suggestion. After looking into the Task Manager Program, AcroTray and Adobe Acrobat were not listed as startup programs. Is there another option or area to turn this function off at?

Hi Bethanycastaneda,
Apologies for the delay in response, I hope you would be able to fix it by now.
If the problem still persists, as stated above the Acrobat Automatically pops up when you receive a fax, correct?
We need some more information for a better understanding:
Please check for any missing updates for the application. Go to Help > Check for Updates. To know more about the latest version available please refer to the link - DC Release Notes — Release Notes for Acrobat DC Products
If you have windows, please generate the process logs and send it to us via private message - How Do I Send Private Message | Adobe Community
Please use Process Monitor - Windows Sysinternals | Microsoft Docs and reproduce the issues and share the process logs.
Let us know if that works for you
Regards,
Amal
