Display at 100% from startup?

I would like to know if there is a way to default the application so that when it opens a pdf document for the first time, the display comes up at 100% rather than some random percentage like "256%" or "355%".

You can define a default zoom level under [Edit] > [Preferences] > [Page View]. This will work for propably for most PDFs, but if particular PDFs have other settings embedded, your defaults will be ignored.

You can also set it under the Accessibility preferences. That will override almost all document-specific settings.
