Duplex printing on Brother DCP-L8410CDW Flipping on Short Edge only

Hi, I have Adobe Reader 2020.013.20074. When I print duplex on my Brother DCP-L8410CDW the page will only flip on the short edge. I have the correct driver for the printer and printing duplex from Word etc works fine. When I print the same PDF document to my Brother MFC-L5750DW it works fine. Also, some documents do not correctly fit on the page with the DCP colour printer. There appears to be a communication problem between Acrobat Reader and the colour printer. Any help would be much appreciated.

What settings do you use for printing?

Hi. These are the settings:

Settings 1.jpg

Settings 2.jpg

This always flips on the short edge.

The settings for the monochrome printer (which work fine) are:

Settings BW 1.jpg

With the monochrome printer I also have:

Settings BW 2.jpg

I don't get such a detailed set of options for the colour printer.

As I said in the original post, the same document in Word prints fine on both printers. I also have problems with some PDFs not fitting on the printed page with the colour printer so there is definitely a glitch.

Thanks

A follow up. In Microsoft Word, when I click on printer properties for the colur printer I get:

Word settings.jpg

So it appears that Acrobat isn't letting me get to the proper settings pop up.

Hi Radzmar,

Have you had a chance to review my settings? Thanks.

I see the same problem with my Brother CDW-9340.  I'm using version 2022.003.20282.  It's limited to Windows 11.  Using the same version on a Windows 10 system, it prints on the long edge correctly.  Other applications my Windows 11 system print on the long edge correctly when specified.

I've just installed the latest driver package for my printer from the Brother site, and it works now.
