Is it possible to edit a Pdf file without having to buy extra software. I used to be able to cut & paste and save as a Word document so I could alter knitting patterns I have downloaded.

Thanks

Hi Raewynnew,

In order to Edit the PDF content, you would require Adobe Acrobat DC, which is a paid product. As mentioned by BerndAlheit, with the help of freeware Adobe Reader DC you can copy content, unless the PDF author has applied security settings that disallow copying.

Please find the detailed instructions here: Copy content from PDFs, Adobe Reader

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

Akanchha
