Embedded Mp4 Video Not Playing

I have an issue with a PDF file I have sent to a client containing an embedded MP4 video. They get a message saying SWF won't be supported beyond Dec 2020 and the video won't play.

The are not using any browser to open the file just Adobe Reader.

Any ideas?

Hi IainG,

Can you please confirm which of the following messages user is getting?

1. Bezel

 

2. DMB

A. I suspect your client is getting #2 mesage which implies "Flash Player NPAPI" is not installed and same is required to play MP4 file via Flash Player.

B. If your client is getting #1, Can you please provide PDF with which we can reproduce this issue? You may attach same in original post. Replies only allow you to add images/videos.

Please install the latest patch available for Acrobat 20.009.20065 Optional update, May 21, 2020 from the help menu > select check for updates, reboot the application and check.
