Hi Everyone I cannot open a file and an Error code keeps popping up: ff37cdc3-ef97-4541-ab75-d6d01e2d5006.

Has anyone seen this before and if so what did you do to cure the problem?

Hi William

We are sorry for the trouble. As described You are not able to open the PDF file.

Is this a behavior with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs that you try to open? Please try with a different PDF file and check. If its a file specific issue please share the file with us for testing.

Also, would you mind sharing the screenshot of the error message that you get?

Is the file located locally on your computer or is it present on a shared network drive? Please try to download the file locally to your computer and try again.

What is the version of the Adobe Acrobat/Reader DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Adobe Acrobat/Reader DC

Make sure you have the latest version 20.009.20063 installed. Go to Help > Check for Updates

If it still doesn't work, please try to turn off the protected mode for testing. Go to Edit (Windows), Adobe Acrobat/Reader DC (Mac) > Preferences > Enhanced Security  > Turn off the Protected Mode and Uncheck the Enhanced Security
Note: Please turn on the security after testing.

Let us know how it goes

Regards

Amal
