Finding vanished files erased after Closing Adobe Reader

Hello,
I have been reviewing and evaluating reports and tests in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, but now that i want to upload them i can't find them. I have been reading a lot of posts in the community forum on how Adobe has been erasing or eliminating some pdf files even after editing them, and solutions to this problem have been given for future files, but i really need to find the ones that where already "erased" or vanished. I can't seem to find them neither in the Temps folder or in the folder that actually contained the documents originally. Is there a way to actually recover this files or are they gone forever?

I'm using windows 10 by the way.
