How can I create a snapshot?

I'm having problems creating a pdf snapshot from Adobe Reader DC.  For years I had been able to do this on my old laptop, but after having bought a new model and installed Adobe, I find that a creating a snapshot is not as easy as before.

This is after having created some artwork in Word, which is in separate images, so I wanted to create the snapshot so that when copied, the artwork becomes a single image.  I had done this successfully on the old laptop.

If I follow the instructions of clicking on edit, that takes me to a screen promoting Adobe Pro, which I do not want.  On my old laptop, Adobe Reader had an icon in the shape of a camera, which allowed me to select the area I wanted to copy and create the single image which I pasted back onto the word document before saving it as a final picture in the picture folder. (Yes, I know it's a bit convoluted, but this is how I work.  I never use Photoshop).  Does anyone know if the camera icon still survives somewhere, or if something similar does the job?  When I did try to create a snapshot, only the background image was copied and I was unable to select the full area I wanted to copy.  Not ideal.

Can anyone help or advise on this?

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out. As described above, you are facing issues while creating the snapshot from Adobe Reader DC, correct?

The option to take a snapshot is right there in the edit menu. could you please share the screenshot of the issue you are facing?

Have you installed Adobe Acrobat Reader DC or Adobe Acrobat DC on your new laptop? Also make sure you have the latest version 19.21.20049 installed. Go to Help > Check for Updates

If it still doesn't work

Let us know how it goes

Regards

Amal

Hi Amal,

Thanks for replying.  First off, I definitely downloaded Adobe Acrobat Reader DC.

Here is the screenshot you asked to see.  The picture you see is currently overlapping images rather than a single image.  I know that in a previous version there was a camera shaped icon in the gap in the toolbar on the left hand side.

I’ll wait to hear what you have to say before doing anything more.

Gary.

Hi Amal,

Well, I tried removing, restarting and reinstalling as you suggested.  Sadly I feel like I'm back where I started.  When I used the camera icon on the old laptop, it made life so easy in terms of selecting how much of the pdf document I wanted to copy back onto a word document before finally saving the picture as a jpeg.  With this layout I have no clue.  Nothing strikes me as obvious in what to do.

Any more ideas?

Gary.

Thanks so much for your help.  I would not have had a clue how to find the snapshot icon.  It's now added to the toolbar.

Thanks again.

Gary.
