My partner is a mental health counselor setting up a private practice. Rather than keeping all her files on paper and storing locked records for decades, rather than using a cloud based case note service, she plans to keep all records on her new Mac notebook with an encrypted SSD and two encrypted SSD backup drives. To maintain security and guarantee confidentiality, this computer will not have email or internet access - she has another computer for that. This one is just for her counseling case notes. She has a digital signature pad for her clients to sign various documents including HIPAA mandated privacy agreements. The signature pad works with Adobe Acrobat Reader. The computer is currently connected to the internet, so we can download any needed software, but once everything is ready, it will never again be internet connected. The OS will remain as is until the computer no longer operates. Can I download (I presume it will not be free) a version of Adobe Acrobat that she can use with the signature pad (Topaz), such that the Adobe software will correctly operate without needing the internet ever? No updates, no license checks. Just standalone software.

thank you,

Peter Clark
