Limitations of Adobe Form

I am considering to use Adobe Form in my workplace. I have three main doubts:

1) In the field validation, is it possible to validate with an extenal values list? I have a list of items that are out of stock and it changes day-to-day. Can I provide a source and the form grabs info there or should I edit the validation field on a daily-basis (certainly not an option!)?

2) We have a vacation spreadsheet that could also go into the adobe form, but is one spreadsheet for several users. Does Adobe allow multi user editing of the same file?

3) We work on an Access Database. Can be grab information from the database to "pre-fill" the form? Suppose I am filling an order. If I type the product code, can it get the information from somewhere and fill the Name and Price of the product?

Thank you so much for the support.

If I am not mistaken, I think I've read before in these forums that connectivity to a database to pre-fill a form is no longer available in newer versions of Acrobat Pro.

You can , however, do something similar using Excel and  saving to a CSV file.

On the other hand, the validation script is not a bad idea, but have you considered a document level script where you can have all this info stored in one place and  available as a function, and then call that function from the field(s) that need to be pre-filled?

1) This is possible if the list is available as a text file in a known location. It will also require installing a script on the local machine of each user, though.

2) No, only one user can edit a file at a time.

3) Not directly, no, only from a plain-text file. See #1.
