Old document keeps trying to upload to old server

A document created over a year ago tries to upload to an old, now offline server. It creates an error message every hour and on start up when it fails to upload. Over the past 6 months I've tried numerous ways to resolve it. I've worked with IT from who managed the old server, I've deleted acrobat files, re-started the device and erased and reloaded Acrobat Reader. I've changed preferences.

The only thing that worked was completely deleting Acrobat Reader and not re-installing. As soon as I re-install Reader, it begins again.

Hi,

Do you think it may possible that the computer(s) where such document is loaded from may still be retaining old user roaming profile settings?

And consequently, everytime that Acrobat Reader is loaded up it tries to apply the old user roaming profile.

If that would be the case, maybe removing the old preferences or the old custom collaboration settings would alleviate this problem.

Check page 62 of the   Adobe Acrobat DC Help reference, where it says "Restore (re-create) preferences"

https://helpx.adobe.com/pdf/acrobat_reference.pdf&ved=2ahUKEwiIzOOJ1qbmAhUirlkKHbV0DrUQFjAJegQIBBAB&...

And check if by clearing, modifying, or moving that roaming profile directoty to a temp folder resolves your issue.

NOTE: it may be necessary to also clear some old registry entries.

To completely remove old traces of your Acrobat use the Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner and Repair Tool
