pdf isn't readable in windows 10

Here is an example of what I see when I try to open a pdf with the adobe reader. Files will open ok on an internet browser but NOT with just the reader.

Unless you post the PDF file or a link to same, there is no way that we can ascertain what is going on. Sorry!
