Hi Folks,

I can currently embed MP4 files in InDesign, and export as an interactive PDF, and when the PDF is opened in Acrobat Reader I can click on the video and it will play, but there is a warning that this video player is controlled by Flash which will only be supported up until December 2020 I believe.

What plans are there for support of embedded MP4 videos in PDF files after December 2020?

Thanks, and regards,

Steve

Ok, in these recent updates the problem is supposed to be resolved. Please go into Acrobat Reader  preferences and look under Multimedia (Legacy).  Try different values for Preferred media player.

What is your exact version of Acrobat Reader (not "latest" please)? And what is your version of InDesign?
