Hi,

we have a Problem with our Win 2019 terminalserver and adobe reader dc.

If a User creates a Signature (Fill and Sign) it will disappear after a relog.

The roaming profile includes the responsible files.

The files will stay with about 40KB to 50KB in the directory.

But if we go to sign it seems like the reader overwrites the existing files and creates a empty signature (file has a size of 20KB).

Adobe Version 2019.010.20099

Windows Server 2019 1809

Would be nice if anyone could help.

Thanks and Kind Regards

Edgar

Hi Edgar,

As explained " if a User creates a Signature (Fill and Sign) it will disappear after a re-login. Are there multiple users sharing the same application on terminal server?

Would you please explain the exact workflow has been followed by the users? And, is this behavior of missing signature has been experienced with multiple users or any specific one?

I see the Reader version you have been using is Adobe Version 2019.010.20099. If possible, you may install the latest patch released for Acrobat/Reader.

Acrobat and Reader official update (19.012.20035) is now available. This update will be automatically pushed to all existing installations of Acrobat and Reader. If you want, you may also manually trigger the update early by opening the application and going to Help > Check for Updates or refer to the release notes: DC Release Notes — Release Notes for Acrobat DC Products

Thanks,

Akanchha

Hi Akanchha,

yes there are multiple Users sharing the same server and application (average. 20 Users).

The User opens a PDF and goes to Fill & Sign. He clicks on Sign and Add Signature.

For now the signature will be saved, until he do a relog.

Now the profile will be saved on our fileserver.

At the time of the login, the profile will be written to the terminalserver. At this moment the "reader_fss_signature_initials" file has a size of 40kb to 57kb.

But if the User opens a PDF and want to sign it, the reader overwrites the existing file and the  "reader_fss_signature_initials" file goes back to 20kb.

Kind Regards

Edgar
