Reader DC update - Email in Internet Explorer not working

We have updated Acrobat Reader DC to version 2019.008.20071 with Internet Explorer extension version 2019.8.20071.303822. Since updating, we are unable to send the PDF as email through Internet Explorer. If we download the PDF and open it on Acrobat Reader DC, we are able to send it through email and it will attach to Outlook.

When we attempt to send through email, you can press the Send as Attachment, select the Use default email (Outlook) radio button, but you cannot press the Continue button. It will animate that it is pressed but nothing happens.

Our previous version of Reader DC is 2018.011.20063 with Internet Explorer extension version 17.12.20093.238000. This version we were able to send the PDF as an email attachment through Internet Explorer.

Is there any settings that need to be changed in either Internet Explorer or Acrobat Reader DC itself that would allow us to send emails through Internet Explorer in the latest update?

**2018.10.02** Update: If you open a PDF on Internet Explorer and then try sending it as an email and attach a local PDF file, an email will be created but only the local PDF file will be attached. I believe that Reader is not attaching the temp file generated from opening the PDF in Internet Explorer.

This update will be automatically pushed to all existing installations of Acrobat and Reader. Uninstall 19 and reinstall 18 appears to be the only option for that way.

arvindy,

Any relation to this issue:  Reader DC "send file as e-mail attachment" button not working: Outlook 2016   I know it is old, but desperate times, etc

There was a reg edit posed to resolve on that post, could it be modified for this version?

I believe Reader DC will automatically update. You should be able to use the 18 version for awhile but it will eventually automatically update to 19. There probably is a way to disable this but so far I've only read that you must do some registry modifications.

We are having the same issue after the latest update--cannot add pdf to as an attachment to new email in Outlook 2016 when viewing the pdf in IE using the email button (nothing happens when you click the button).  Email button works when viewing the file in an Adobe window instead of the browser. Hopefully a fix is coming soon...

The new update corrected the issue on three of the four computers I had issues on. The three that were corrected were all running Google Chrome on Windows 10. The one I still have problems with is running Internet Explorer on Windows 7. I plan to upgrade that computer anyway.
