Hi everyone,

It's tax time and I'm trying to review my return that was created in a PDF file by an onnline service.

When I try to open the document, I get repeated javascript window warnings (about 5) stating that the PDF form requires a newer version of Adobe Acrobat or it may not work properly.  I tried checking for updates (none available) and even downloading reader DC and installing it again, but it really is up to date, and continues to return this error.

What can I do to troubleshoot this?

Thanks!

I was helping a user who had this issue. Just for the sake of reviewing the document I had to disable Javascript within the settings.

1. Open Adobe Reader/Acrobat and go to Edit and then Preferences.

2. Click on JavaScript in the categories list and then Uncheck "Enable Acrobat JavaScript"

After doing that the user was at least able to review the PDF.
