Receiving Error Message When Trying to use Adobe Acrobat Reader

I've been using the Reader without issue for years. Now all of a sudden, I cannot open the program or PDFs. See the attached file for the message I get when trying to open the program.

I've tried repairing the program and uninstalling/reinstalling. Neither of those actions have fixed the problem. Just lately I installed Nortong 360 as my security program. I'm wondering if this could be clashing with Adobe?

I'm running Windows 8.1 on an HP Envy laptop.

If anybody has any ideas about this, I'd be grateful for the help.

Hi Akailiajade,

We are sorry for the trouble.  As described above, you are getting the error 'Windows Cannot find 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat Reader'

You may please refer to a similar discussion here (https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-reader/windows-cannot-find-c-program-files-x86-adobe-acrobat-...) and see if the solution works for you.

Let us know how it goes

Regards

Amal
